4th Quarter 2020 Newsletter

Happy Holidays!

Access Idaho's Boise-based staff of 13 wishes you the happiest of holidays!

This year has had many challenges for everyone, and it's our hope that we have made it a bit easier to conduct business with your constituents. As always, please let us know if we can assist you.

May next year bring brighter times, when we can see each other (in person--not just on a computer screen) and get back to some semblance of normalcy.

New and Improved Credit Card Processor Descriptions for County Departments

It took a while, but it's done! We updated the credit card processor descriptions that show on customers' credit/debit card statements.

For most of you, customers will no longer see the generic "Idaho.gov State of Idaho" on their credit card statements. The change applies to the following departments:
  • County DMV's will see 'County DMV 2083320102'
  • Driver's license customers will see 'County DL 2083320102' (all other Sheriff's departments will remain unchanged)
  • County Treasurer customers will see 'CountyTreasurer2083320102'

We applied the changes to the three departments because they make up the majority of our chargebacks as well as the bulk of phone calls we receive from cardholders asking what a charge is for.

By providing more specific descriptions, cardholders should recognize charges more easily on their credit card statements, thus reducing chargebacks. Additionally, our phone number is included in the descriptions so customers can call to inquire about charges.

Don't hesitate to reach out to Rich, Leslie or Tiffany for any questions.
