Newborn Screening Kits
A Success Story

In 2020, Access Idaho (AI) helped The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare (H&W) update the Newborn Screening Kit order process from a time-consuming manual process that involved the staff faxing order forms to an online order plus payment system.  In the spring of 2021, AI worked with a new lab in Washington to transmit the orders using an API service that posts orders directly to the lab for fulfillment.  AI has further improved the form validation through an API call with the lab to validate the account number prior to payment collection.

AI is proud to play a part in protecting the health of Idaho’s next generation. The process improvements AI initiated for the Newborn Screening operations is a good representation of the continuing value we provide the citizens of Idaho.

“Working with Access Idaho has been an absolute pleasure. They helped develop an online ordering portal to collect fees for dried blood spot collection kits for the Idaho Newborn Screening Program. Prior to this development, our program would process orders through faxed order forms and mailed paper checks. Now, the process has been streamlined and reduced administrative hours. The Access Idaho staff has been incredibly accommodating and responsive, including connecting with external partners to interface order systems.”

Prompt Pay Receives Idaho
Inn
ovation Recognition

In October 2021, Stoel Rives LLP announced the finalists in the 2021 Idaho Innovation Awards. Access Idaho’s Prompt Pay was a finalist for the 'Commercialized Innovation of the Year' category!

The award is presented by Stoel Rives LLP, Trailhead, and the Idaho Technology Council (ITC), with support from Deloitte.  The Innovation Awards program recognizes the State’s vibrant innovation community — from emerging to established companies — and its breakthrough creations. The Idaho Innovation Awards recognize groundbreaking accomplishments and it’s exciting to see Citizen to Government services like the State’s Prompt Pay leading innovation.

Prompt Pay allows you to email or text a per-populated payment link to your customer.  The customer will see how much they owe, but they are unable to change any information on the payments link.  It will only allow them to enter in their credit card information, which we then send to your bank account.  This helps keep your department free from handling credit cards and out of PCI Scope.

If you are interested in learning more about Prompt Pay, please contact Access Idaho at 208-332-0102 or email marketing@accessidaho.org.

Partner Spotlight - City of Rupert

The City of Rupert recently started using Access Idaho to process payments at their City Hall. They use PayPort for online and over-the-counter utility billing, animal control fees, permits & licensing, irrigation payments and other miscellaneous payments. They started in October and have hit the ground running, processing over $241,900.00 in sales since inception.

The City is also using App Engine to take payments for their recreation department. Registration is
currently available for Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball, Cornhole, Ice Skating, Bowling and Dodgeball. They will have several more sports online as the seasons roll on.

We are thrilled to be able to work with the City of Rupert and appreciate their business.

Tips and Tricks

PayPort Data Fields can be Used as SKU's

Did you know a data field in PayPort can be used as a SKU in the TPE reports?

When setting up PayPort, we often ask what information is necessary to post the payment for the customer.
You may have multiple data/form fields, but you can assign one of those fields as a SKU to be displayed in TPE (in the example below, the "Note" field has been selected as the SKU).

This information will show up in the highlighted section when you search for the details of a specific order in TPE.

Don’t hesitate to contact Access Idaho's Marketing team for assistance (208-332-0102 or
marketing@accessidaho.org), including how SKU's can help with posting your payments.
